Yes Tatum is my first name not my last. I am just a downright crazy and spontaneous girl from all over the southern U.S with a burning desire in my heart to travel the world. Hello? I will however say, that I do not categorize myself as a writer, or someone who knows everything about traveling the world. I am not some spoiled little brat who travels off of mommy and daddy’s money. To their dismay, I didn’t even finish college. Never had a six figure job living in a big city, and didn’t leave behind my cubical life to travel. I have always had odd and end jobs, making it so I can go and do as I please. It might seem like I travel often because I actually DO. I save money and literally live to travel. I am not a 9-5er, or an office worker. Those jobs just aren’t for me. So what do I do? I chose this name because I wanted it to reflect me as a person. Are you offended? Hopefully not but what do I care? I am putting myself out there in a way so that when you hear the name, you think “that’s Tatum! She’s the real deal”. Throwing a cuss word in there also lets the audience know what my intentions are with this whole blogging thing. I have seen enough “Top 10’s in Barcelona” or “Where to eat on a Budget in Ireland,” crap. This blog is to make you laugh, to inform you about the real shit that goes on while traveling and most importantly, to teach everyone that they do not have to settle for a mediocre life!
If you notice in my homepage, I have a “My Journey” menu instead of a “Destination” section. Why? Because I want to tell my point of view about places I’ve been and let you take what you want from that. Everyone has different taste buds, different techniques on how to travel and different ways of viewing the world. Why should you limit yourself to taking the main street that everyone else takes? Follow down my road that is a little less traveled and a lot more fun! AND PLEASE, understand that this blog is open for the interpretation of travel through my eyes.
